Directed by Greg Treloar, the concert features a very regal selection of music, including Handel’s Coronation Anthems and his sublime ‘Eternal Source of Light Divine’, Zadok Rules, Stanford’s Coronation Gloria in Bb. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with rousing numbers, including Parry’s Jerusalem, the national anthem and Vaughan William’s ‘Old 100th Psalm’. It will also feature the award-winning Helix Ensemble, an orchestral group of musicians from across the East Midlands. You can purchase tickets here.

On Sunday 7th May, Bishop Patrick will be celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving for His Majesty the King and the Queen Consort. The choir will be singing and the Mass will be live-streamed. This will be followed by a Coronation Tea Party in the Cathedral Hall.

May God bless His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen Consort, preserve them both in health of mind and body and grant them every grace and blessing now and for the years to come.
