Assistant Director of Music ~ Cathedral Organist
An exciting new appointment for the Music Department
We are delighted to announce that Timothy Selman will start his new role in September, joining us from Lincoln Cathedral.
Timothy has previously held posts at Southwell Minster, Grantham Parish Church, and the York Oratory.
He was an Organ Scholar here from 2015-2017, so we are particularly delighted to welcome him back to the team, in this new role.
We are grateful to the Mission Enabling Fund, through which we have been able to expand the Cathedral Organist role into an Assistant Director of Music, meaning that Timothy will be playing an important part in training the Children’s Choirs, alongside his work accompanying the Cathedral Choir.
We are delighted that Timothy will be joining us in the orchestra for our Celebration Concert on the 18th July, so do come along to that and welcome him to the Cathedral family.
