Christmas Masses

Parish

There will be five Masses over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year at Nottingham Cathedral. All are welcome to join us in person or via live-stream.

On Christmas Eve, the Christmas Vigil Mass at 6pm is usually packed with families and the Youth Choir will be singing carols from 5.30pm. The traditional Midnight Mass is always special. It is preceded by a short service of readings and carols from 11.30pm, which tells the Christmas story and then Mass at Midnight with Bishop Patrick celebrating and the Cathedral Choir singing.

On Christmas Day, the 8am Mass is a said Mass with no music, so it is a little quieter. Then at 10am, there's the family Mass with the parish singers and Bishop Patrick will also be celebrating this Mass this year. Then our last Mass of the day is at 11.15am and the Cathedral Choir will be singing at this Mass.

You, your family and friends are most welcome at any of these Masses. Each is special in its own way but at each Mass you will find a warm welcome and a joyful celebrate as we commemorate the Birth of Jesus Christ.
